Construction Cost Increases Just Hit the Floor 

More than 500,000 square feet of performance flooring from Thor was installed at YMCA facilities since 2021. That’s the equivalent of 119 high school basketball courts.

But of course Ys aren’t just basketball courts. Thor performance floors are also used in aerobics studios, in weight rooms, and in transition areas. The company also provides turf used in outdoor soccer fields.

The Gro procurement program, an extension of our design services, ensures not only the right products are placed where needed, but also that Thor-trained installers do the work. We stay involved from start to finish in each project because that qualifies the installation for between 5 and 15 years of warranties.
