Rod grozier
President & CEO
Rod Grozier is the President and CEO of Gro, a multi-disciplinary professional services firm rooted in the power of place.
As a grateful and proud product of youth-focused institutions and community frameworks, Rod is an advocate for community health, social equity, and youth development. Rod applies his formal education in architecture, and his professional career in the non-profit, for-purpose sector, to the formation of the built environment for social impact. In his current role, Rod supports and leads a team of experts and thought leaders in the domains of real estate, capital formation, architecture & design, and asset management.
A thirty-year veteran and out-spoken champion of the YMCA enterprise, Rod served on staff at the organization’s national resource center – the YMCA of the USA – in the 1990s. In the time since, prior to founding Gro, Rod served in leadership roles with two high-functioning, multi-disciplinary professional firms serving non-profits – T2 Consulting and Daxko.
Grozier is a member of the Board of Directors of New York’s Hedrick-Martin Institute, host and home to Harvey Milk High School. Additionally, Rod serves on the Board of Trustees of the Sioux YMCA – itself focused on the development of native youth of the Cherokee and Standing Rock Reservations. Rod is a former member of the Board of Governors of Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and served on the Recreation Access Advisory Committee commissioned by the United States Department of Justice. The Committee was responsible for establishing national guidelines for accessible facility design (ADA) in recreation, leisure and sports. Rod has recently been named to the Advisory Board of Obsesh Media Group.
A native of beautiful and forging rural Pennsylvania, Rod currently resides in New York City.
